I can mention Iron Maiden's Number of the beast here..The part where Bruce Dickinson musters up after the initial whiskery intro part then goes YAAAAAAAA....till his asshole actually plops out his pie hole..Besides Number of the Beast is a given when you name best screams that cause impulse vandalism. If you listen to the Tool above..you'll have to choose...I like the Maynard yop.Maynard has this great long exhale that truly reaches in to disturbed haunted tones. Plus Americans have that original underdog thing going at the root of the guttural metallic scream. Beats a no chinner bark every time.
This theory applies because as a British person any thing said, even "Um" sounds more intellectual with a British accent-Therefore Americans are gifted with the superior raw power in the scream hole.

I like the guttural raspy High screams. The Guttural High scream has a more realistic fear or anger behind it...Maynard has this gift of taking a scream and twisting it into deeply disturbed, insane rage. Not the operatic ones like Queensryche..Theres a time and a place - that time came and went into leopard skin spandex,make up and hair products.

Lets get it straight. The type of scream I'm talking here is a sore throat bellow that was honed out in a seedy garage. Sweat in summer cold frettin' hands in winter. These are older songs. I cant hear a scream thats dolled up in a flat ironed hair I'm prejudiced that way. You can quote me here if ya want, flat ironed emo hair is the mullet of the new decade. There I said it. feux hawks are like 3 years too late. Seriously you can still capture your youth with a feuxhawk
ah well....I'm getting older maybe I can recapture some youth chi-ironing my back or ear hair.
